We do most of what we do with a simple set of brushes and a maul stick.
With a background in design and marketing, we can follow any project through, both in the real-world and in the digital field.
From the ground-up process of a creation, to following a strict brief, our skill-sets range from trippy murals to complete branding outcomes.
We are on the crest of modern day sign-painting and continuing to expand the medium, always pushing the boundaries of how beautiful hand-crafted Lettering should flow.

A Sign-painter’s Journey
Benny grew up in the sign studio of his father Terry, which was the garage of the Maitland family home. His earliest memories were of the smells of turpentine and the sound of a maul stick tapping along.
After working in New York city for Whole Foods Market as an in-house marketing production artist for several years, Benny became increasingly interested in hand-painted signs.
As his early years of exposure to the craft became more valuable, his practice developed into a full-time gig when he moved back to his native New Zealand. During this time he fused his chalk-marker and sign-painting skills into what became a part of the, then, “bespoke” movement and built a partnership with Auckland’s Farro Fresh Food company. Working in this space attracted new clients as his work gained visibility in the industry, including Al Brown and Garage Project.
After 7 years building his portfolio, Benny moved his family to Melbourne Australia to pursue and further expand his art in hand-painted things.
